Ride A Pet Guide: Beginner to Endgame

The complete Ride A Pet guide: the hatch-and-ride core loop, radar upgrades, egg rings, mutations and rebirths, from your first egg to endgame pets.

Last updated:

Ride A Pet is a Roblox hatch-and-ride simulator built around one loop: find eggs around the map, hatch them into pets, then ride your fastest pet to reach rarer eggs. This guide covers the whole journey — your first radar purchase, the egg rings, plot income, mutations, rebirths, and the endgame chase for Kitsune and Dragon — using data confirmed across the official game page, community stat sheets, and high-view gameplay tests.

The core loop, in one paragraph

Ride your pet out to a spawned egg, carry it back to an empty nest on your plot before the "Egg Will Break" timer runs out, and dismount to start the hatch. Place your best Cash-per-second pet in a nest so your plot earns while you play. Spend the income on better radars and faster pets, then push to the next egg ring. Every system in the game — mutations, rebirths, luck boosts — multiplies that same loop.

The 8-minute rhythm

Eggs reset around the map every 8 minutes. Planning your runs around that reset window is the single biggest habit upgrade for new players.

Step 1 — Your first radar

The Advanced Radar at Rick's Shop costs about $50 and points you toward your first egg. It is the correct first purchase because walking around blind wastes the most valuable early resource: time on the egg timer. The radar family later scales through Radar, Advanced, Jewel, and Royal tiers, and the Infinite Radar gamepass removes the repetition entirely if you decide the game is for you.

Step 2 — Learn the egg rings

The map is organized into distance rings that gate egg rarity behind mount speed:

RingPets you needWhat it offers
Starter and MeadowAny starting petCommon eggs, your first hatches
ForestA mid-speed mountBetter income pets for your plot
Desert and SnowUnicorn-tier speed or betterHigh-value eggs and endgame farming

Speed is the real gate. A faster mount does not just save time — it unlocks eggs that slower players physically cannot reach before the break timer or another player takes them.

Step 3 — Plot income

Your plot is the passive half of the game. Every nest you fill with a high Cash-per-second pet earns while you run eggs. For reference, a Phoenix placed on a plot earns about 100,000 cash per second, which shows how much value the right pet adds. The active half — running eggs yourself — is always faster than pure AFK income, which is why the community consensus is to do both at once.

Step 4 — Mutations

The Mutations update added eight mutations, granted through weather events that last five minutes each. They range from Shocked at 2x to Eternal at 100x, and they multiply pet income directly. See the mutations overview for the full table and the how to mutate guide for the step-by-step process.

Step 5 — Rebirths

Rebirth resets your cash for a permanent money multiplier. Each tier requires both a cash amount and a specific pet: Rebirth 1 needs $1M and a Horse, Rebirth 2 needs $500M and a Fox, and Rebirth 3 needs $2.5B and a Unicorn. The full ladder, reset rules, and timing advice live in the rebirth guide.

Step 6 — The endgame chase

The endgame is a two-pet race. Kitsune is the fastest mount in the game at roughly one billion speed, hatched at a base 1 in 1Qi chance. Dragon comes from the Dragon Egg and is the other consensus top-tier pet. Both are realistic multi-week goals, which is why the mid-game is about building the income engine that funds hundreds of hatches.

Free boosts you should never skip

  • Joining the official Roblox group "this game is gud" grants up to a +40 Luck boost, which noticeably improves rare hatches.
  • Update 2 ran an x2 Cash Boost event — version-limited boosts like this are the best time to farm rebirth cash.
  • Liking the game can contribute additional free boosts per the group rewards setup.

Codes status

Ride A Pet has never released a redeemable code since launching in April 2026. Any site listing working codes is inventing them. Our codes page tracks the status honestly and updates the moment that changes.

How all the systems connect

Speed decides which eggs you can reach, eggs decide which pets you can hatch, pets decide your plot income, income funds mutations and rebirths, and rebirths multiply everything again. When you feel stuck, the bottleneck is almost always the earliest link in that chain you have been ignoring — usually mount speed or an empty nest slot.

Where to go next

Start with the beginner guide for the first two hours, check how to play for controls on your platform, then use the egg locations map to plan your first rare-egg runs. When your income is stable, the rebirth requirements table tells you exactly what to save for next.

Five habits that separate fast players

Beyond any single upgrade, experienced Ride A Pet players share the same habits. Adopt them early and every guide above gets easier:

  1. Live on the reset clock. The 8-minute egg reset is the game's heartbeat. Plan loops that end near your plot as the timer expires.
  2. Never haul on a dying timer. The "Egg Will Break" countdown forgives nothing. If the math is close, drop the egg and take the next spawn.
  3. Replace nest pets greedily. Every hatch answers one question: is this pet better than the weakest one in a nest? If yes, swap immediately.
  4. Stack luck before premium eggs. Group bonus, event boosts, then open — in that order, every time.
  5. Keep the rebirth chain pets. Horse, Fox, Unicorn. Locked away, not traded, not spent.

Reading the wiki's numbers

Values on this site come from community stat sheets, repeated gameplay tests, and multi-source guides. Where sources disagree, we say so and mark the figure unconfirmed rather than inventing precision. Patch-sensitive numbers (egg prices, rebirth four and beyond) carry their check date — trust the date as much as the number.

When you feel stuck

Stalling is almost always one of four bottlenecks: mount speed too low for the next ring, nests not full, no mutation on your best earner, or a rebirth overdue. Diagnose in that order — the fix is usually boring and effective, which is the honest truth about this game's progression.
