Ride A Pet Rebirth Requirements & Costs
Every Ride A Pet rebirth requirement: $1M plus a Horse, $500M plus a Fox, $2.5B plus a Unicorn — the confirmed ladder, and what is unconfirmed past Rebirth 3.
Last updated:
Each rebirth in Ride A Pet demands two things at once: a cash threshold and one specific pet from your collection. Miss either, no reset. This page is the requirements ladder with sources, plus the preparation checklist that keeps you from selling a pet your next rebirth needs.
The requirements ladder
| Rebirth | Cash required | Pet required | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $1M | Horse | Confirmed — matches across the community wiki and multiple guides |
| 2 | $500M | Fox | Confirmed |
| 3 | $2.5B | Unicorn | Confirmed |
| 4 | Unconfirmed | Unconfirmed | A fourth rebirth is documented; its values are not |
| 5-7 | Unconfirmed | Unconfirmed | Referenced in some community ladders; conflicting counts |
Notes on the conflicting data: one guide documents "currently 4 rebirths" while other ladders reference seven, and a third describes pet earnings of +7x per second after Rebirth 7. The first three rows are identical everywhere and safe to plan around; treat everything past Rebirth 3 as community-reported until verified in game.
What each reset pays
Community guides agree on the reward side: +1x base money multiplier per rebirth, compounding for every reset you complete, with pet income reaching up to +7x per second after the later rebirths in community counts. The multiplier is permanent — it survives the reset it costs you, which is the whole trade.
The pet chain: Horse, Fox, Unicorn
The ladder is also a scavenger hunt:
- Horse — an early, common-enough pet. Rebirth 1 is usually your first session's end goal.
- Fox — a mid-tier pet; hatch one and hold it while you grind the $500M.
- Unicorn — a genuine speed-tier mount that doubles as the Rebirth 3 key. It is also on every fastest pets shortlist, which makes it the pet players most regret selling.
Never trade the chain
Before any trading session or egg-spending spree, check that your Horse, Fox, and Unicorn are safe. Replacing a chain pet after a careless trade is the most expensive mistake documented in the community.
Cash planning between rebirths
The jumps are violent: $1M to $500M is a 500x step, and $2.5B after that is another 5x. Your income has to grow by the same factor, which means:
- Fill every nest. Passive plot income is the floor under the whole plan.
- Mutate your best earner. Multipliers run from 2x to 100x — the step-by-step is in how to mutate pets.
- Run the announcement eggs. Blackhole and Cherub spawns are free value; the route is in egg locations.
- Skip premium egg binges while saving. The Dragon Egg guide is blunt: egg binges during a rebirth save are how players stall for days.
When to actually pull the trigger
The fastest rebirth is a cash loop, not a race to the button:
- Hit the threshold.
- Keep grinding until your income line is stable and mutated — rebirthing from a dead economy restarts slower than rebirthing from a working one.
- Rebirth, immediately refill your nests, and let the new multiplier compound.
Rebirth 4 and beyond: what is safe to believe
Until values are verified: do not pre-sell pets based on unconfirmed ladder rumors, and treat any "Rebirth 5 needs X" claim from short-form video as a rumor. This page updates when a second source confirms the next rung.
Rebirth FAQ
Do I lose my pets on rebirth? The sources describe a cash-and-progress reset; pet collection retention beyond the consumed requirement pet is not pinned down in the confirmable guides (unconfirmed).
Is there a rebirth limit? Confirmed: at least three. Documented: a fourth. Rumored: seven total. See the conflict note above.
Should I rebirth as soon as I qualify? No — qualify, stabilize your income, then reset. The loop is faster that way.

Where the numbers come from
The first three rebirth rows are the most cross-confirmed data in this wiki: the $1M-plus-Horse, $500M-plus-Fox, $2.5B-plus-Unicorn ladder appears identically across community stat pages and multiple independent guides, including the Fandom wiki's rebirth page and recent full-ladder guides. Everything past row three carries an explicit conflict note because the sources genuinely disagree — four total (some guides) versus seven (community ladders). This page would rather show the seam than paper over it.
Saving for $500M without losing your mind
The jump from Rebirth 1 to Rebirth 2 is the first time the game asks for real money discipline. The plan that works:
- Nests first, always. Every slot filled, every upgrade swapped in — the passive line is what grinds while you sleep.
- Mutation your best earner. A 3x Volted on a Phoenix-class pet moves your hourly rate more than any egg purchase.
- Run announcements. Blackhole and Cherub eggs are free premium value on a schedule you do not control but can pre-position for.
- Ring the alarm at milestones. $100M, $250M, $400M — checkpoints keep the goal visible and egg binges honest.
The Unicorn problem
Rebirth 3's requirement is also one of the best speed mounts in the game, which creates the game's most common self-inflicted wound: players ride their Unicorn, hatch a Cerberus, sell the Unicorn, and discover the rebirth queue moved. The fix is administrative, not skillful: the moment a Unicorn enters your collection, it is rebirth property. Label it mentally as spent, ride something else, and thank yourself in a few weeks.
A pre-rebirth checklist
- Cash at or above the threshold — with income still running, not drained
- Chain pet for the next rebirth already secured and safe
- Best earner mutated, so post-reset income rebuilds fast
- Reset-scope questions answered in game (what survives) if you rely on purchases
- A rebuild plan: nests first, mutations second, speed third
Frequently asked questions
Does the required pet get consumed? The confirmable guides describe needing to own the pet for the rebirth; whether it is consumed or retained is not pinned down (unconfirmed).
Why does Rebirth 2 cost so much more than Rebirth 1? The 500x jump is the game's difficulty curve — it forces you up the mutation and income ladder before the next multiplier.
Can I hold multiple rebirths' worth of requirements at once? Nothing documented prevents it — holding a Fox and Unicorn while saving $2.5B is exactly the right shape of greed.
Is there a rebirth shop or exclusives? No confirmed rebirth-exclusive items appear in the sources we track; the reward is the permanent multiplier itself.
